　　1.What work do you do?

 

　　工作：I’m a teacher at an English training center. I’ve been working there for several years. It’s my pleasure to see my students make progress, so I think this job is very suitable for me.

 

　　学生：Well, I am a senior in Zhejiang University and I’m planning to pursue my master’s degree in the U.K after my graduation. That’s why I take this test.

 

　　2.Why did you choose to do that kind of work?

 

　　I like teaching very much. I am glad to help the students improve their English language skills. And my major is English, which is very fit to do that kind of work. At last, I can learn a lot from the teaching and my students, and also the relationships among the staff at work tend to be simple and less complicated.

 

　　3.Do many people in your country choose to do that type of work?

 

　　Yes, there are many people choose to be a teacher in China. Teachers are respected by the public because their work is so important to society. I think the world will be much worse if there’re no teachers, especially good ones.

 

　　4.What are your responsibilities at work?

 

　　I teach English, both productive and receptive skills. My responsibility is to help my students succeed in their studies and pass exams if they need to.

 

　　5.Do you remember your first day at work?

 

　　Definitely. I wake up very early that day and I feel a little excited and nervous because that is my first job and my first teaching.

 

　　6.What did you do on your first day at work?

 

　　I introduced myself to the students and asked them to introduce themselves in the class. Then I told the classroom discipline and some other matters need attention.
