　　八一学校国际部注重学生全面发展和学有所长。连续多年开设科技实验班，成绩斐然。

　　高一基础英语课程：运用与写作
　　本课程的目标是使学生掌握在*和大学所必需的阅读和写作能力。选修此课程的学生每天会有大量的阅读任务和写作练习。这些练习注重扩充学生的词汇量（单词的意思和发音），巩固语法（句子结构和句法），以及提高阅读理解能力。完成此门课程的学习之后，学生将掌握较好的阅读和写作技巧，帮助他们进入高二年级课程的学习。
　　ESL/English 10: Mechanics and Composition
　　The goal of this course is to equip English language learners with the skills they will need to be successful readers and writers in higher level courses in high school and college. Students enrolled in this course will participate in intensive daily reading and writing exercises. These exercises will focus specifically on vocabulary (meaning and pronunciation), grammar (sentence structure and syntax), and reading comprehension. Students can expect to leave the course with skills specific to reading and writing well across the curriculum of their 11th grade classes.

　　基础英语/高二英语运用与写作
　　获得学位的前提是所有高三学生必须修完基础英语课程。所以，在教务长和英语老师讨论之后，部分学生也许得学习这门课程。*这门课程，学生能够较为集中地学习语法、结构、语用等，并快速学会*英语写作去交流。这门课程有很大的写作量，还需要很大的词汇量，也会为学生大学写作应用做准备。
　　ESL/English 11: Mechanics and Composition
　　To earn a diploma, all 12th graders must place out of ESL.  Therefore, some students may be required to take this course upon the decision of the Academic Dean in consultation with the English/ESL instructors.  This course will serve as an intensive review of how to write and communicate effectively in written English with emphasis on the mechanics, grammar, and structure of the English language. There will be a lot of writing. There will be a lot of vocabulary. In addition, the class will help students prepare well for writing college application essays.

　　高级生物课程
　　生物是一门对生物体的研究课程，生物体的起源，它们怎样生存、繁殖、变化、种族内部以及周围的环境对它们的影响。北京八一学校国际部开设的高级生物课程，是为期为两个学期的入门课程。它的教学目标是让学生对现代生物和科学进程有基本的理解，并为学生即将参加的AP考试的成功作准备。所涵盖的主题将来自于教科书,实验室练习,课外读物,课堂讨论,独立研究和大学先修课程。
　　Advanced Biology
　　Biology is the study of living organisms: their origins, how they survive, reproduce, change over time, and interact with each other and their environments. The Advanced Biology curriculum is an introductory course taught in two semesters of high school.  The primary objective of the course is to provide students with a fundamental understanding of modern biology and scientific processes, and to build a foundation for success in Advanced Placement courses that students will take in the future. The subject matter covered will come from the textbook, through laboratory exercises, outside reading sources, notes, class discussion, independent research, and the College Board Advanced Placement Program curriculum.

　　高三标准课程
　　12年级的学生面临大学申请，故此学年课程自主性较强。学校要求每学期至少研修五门英语授课类课程，同时他们将在12年级完成语文、数学、英语和体育会考。因此，12年级学生课程设置为：语文、数学、英语、体育、世界文学、选修一门数学类课程、一门科学类课程、一门其他领域的课程、自习课（可作为升学指导咨询课程）和一门额外的其他领域的选修课（只针对学有余力的学生）。
　　12th Grade Standard Courses
　　12th Grade Students are facing college application with a strong curriculum autonomy. Students are expected to carry a minimum of five courses taught in English each semester. They also need to pass the Chinese, Math, English and PE Hui Kao. Therefore, the standard courses for 12th graders are: Chinese Language, Chinese Math, PE, English 12, World Literature, + 1 Mathematics Course + 1 Science Course + 1 additional course (from any subject area) + self-study / drop-in college counseling center + 1 additional course (from any subject area).
