高级化学课程
本课程的目标是帮助学生了解基础化学知识和原理,并使他们获得解决化学问题的能力。课程内容包括以下化学原理的学习:

Advanced Chemistry
The goal of advanced chemistry is develop an understanding of the fundamentals of chemistry and attain proficiency in dealing with chemical problems of all types. The course will include the study of a broad range of chemical principles including:
· Relating atomic structure and the periodic table
· Types of bonding, molecular structure, and VSEPR theory
· Chemical reactions and stoichiometry
· A study of pH, buffers, and equilibrium
· Thermodynamics, kinetics, electrochemistry, free energy, and entropy.
Advanced Chemistry will provide an excellent foundation for AP or college chemistry.
AP 化学

AP Chemistry
A lab-intensive, descriptive college-level chemistry course designed to prepare students for the newly revised Advanced Placement Chemistry Examination and curriculum. Students will cover the Big Ideas of the new syllabus established in 2014 that focuses on the students’ ability to do more than write reactions and do calculations. To do well in this course, students must master a basic, fundamental understanding of what is happening chemically at the particulate level. Extensive inquiry-based lab work will support their preparation for the AP exam.
AP微积分BC
这门课程是按照美国大学理事会先修课程委员会设置的课程标准来的,旨在平行大学第二学期的微积分课程。*学期的重点是复习并巩固在AP微积分AB*到的概念。这门课程的特色主题是综合数学的技巧和应用,一阶微分方程、无穷级数、参变量函数、极坐标和函数等。这一学年,学生会做AP考试题和模拟测试题,为明年五月的AP考试做准备。
AP Calculus BC
This course follows the curriculum established by the College Board Advanced Placement Committee in mathematics and is designed to parallel a second semester university-level calculus course. A significant part of the first semester is used to review and enhance concepts covered in AP Calculus AB. Topics specific to the Calculus BC curriculum include a variety of integration techniques and applications, first order differential equations, infinite series, parametric functions, and polar coordinates and functions. Throughout the year, students will be practicing AP exam-type problem solving and practice tests in preparation for the AP Examination in May.

weCreate: Innovative Leadership from Good to Great
This course is based on the weCreate Center and will allow students to explore, design, and develop ideas; work as development teams in unique, real-world problem-solving situations, and discover their own leadership and creative talents. Students will read “Good to Great” and learn how to take ideas from their infancy to full-scale development. In addition, students will discover what makes great leaders and great organizations from the business models presented. In the end, students will learn a great deal about themselves while getting opportunities to lead, organize, and follow. There will be extensive expectations in reading, writing, and developing a whole host of projects, presentations, and business plans. |
