　　八一学校国际部是一所充满活力的学校, 致力于为学生创造机会，发展自身特长和潜能。

　　八一学校国际部在校期间学生如果遇到任何问题，可以*时间向导师寻求帮助。导师会针对每个学生进行*，并负责撰写大学推荐信。

　　高一年级基础英语课程
　　本课程为基础英语阅读和写作课程，课程从基础词汇，句子，语法开始，进而介绍学术文章的写作和组织方法。学生将从段落开始，练习学术文章的写作；并且学会如何*举例，对比和比较，处理信息来完成议论文的写作。初期阅读材料的难度基于学生的英语水平，之后也会包括对诗歌和电影的分析，在学期末，他们会学习短篇小说。*此课程的学习，学生的学术英语能力，语音语调，听力都会得到提高。
　　ESL/English 10
　　This is the foundational academic English reading and writing course. Instruction begins with the word -- vocabulary -- and sentence --grammar -- and moves into academic organization of paragraph and essay. Students practice academic response paragraphs, as well as rhetorical thesis-driven essays in specific and extended examples,  compare/contrast, and process modes. Reading begins at each student’s level and also includes critical reading of poetry, analysis of literary film, and, near the end of term, short stories. Academic conversation, pronunciation, and listening are fostered. 础英语课程

　　美国文学
　　这门课程将讲解主要的美国文学的文本，从土著美国人民间传说到后现代诗歌都有涉及。学生将学会在文本中以对话的方式理解美国文学的贡献。这门课程将教学生用具体的方法去精读文本，还教学生如何基于已有的观点、论据、分析结构去写反馈，这样的写作通常出现在大学课堂里。
　　American Literature
　　American Literature will acquaint students with the major texts of the American literary tradition, ranging from Native American origin tales to Romantic short stories to postmodern poetry.  Students will learn how to understand these texts as a dialogue, centering around major American literary contributions.  This course will equip students with specific tools for intensive reading of primary sources.  It will also prepare students for writing responses based on the 'claims, evidence, analysis' structure used in most university classrooms.

　　生物是一门对生物体的研究课程，生物体的起源，它们怎样生存、繁殖、变化、种族内部以及周围的环境对它们的影响。北京八一学校国际部开设的高级生物课程，是为期为两个学期的入门课程。它的教学目标是让学生对现代生物和科学进程有基本的理解，并为学生即将参加的AP考试的成功作准备。所涵盖的主题将来自于教科书,实验室练习,课外读物,课堂讨论,独立研究和大学先修课程。
　　Advanced Biology
　　Biology is the study of living organisms: their origins, how they survive, reproduce, change over time, and interact with each other and their environments. The Advanced Biology curriculum is an introductory course taught in two semesters of high school.  The primary objective of the course is to provide students with a fundamental understanding of modern biology and scientific processes, and to build a foundation for success in Advanced Placement courses that students will take in the future. The subject matter covered will come from the textbook, through laboratory exercises, outside reading sources, notes, class discussion, independent research, and the College Board Advanced Placement Program curriculum.

　　高三标准课程
　　12年级的学生面临大学申请，故此学年课程自主性较强。学校要求每学期至少研修五门英语授课类课程，同时他们将在12年级完成语文、数学、英语和体育会考。因此，12年级学生课程设置为：语文、数学、英语、体育、世界文学、选修一门数学类课程、一门科学类课程、一门其他领域的课程、自习课（可作为升学指导咨询课程）和一门额外的其他领域的选修课（只针对学有余力的学生）。
　　12th Grade Standard Courses
　　12th Grade Students are facing college application with a strong curriculum autonomy. Students are expected to carry a minimum of five courses taught in English each semester. They also need to pass the Chinese, Math, English and PE Hui Kao. Therefore, the standard courses for 12th graders are: Chinese Language, Chinese Math, PE, English 12, World Literature, + 1 Mathematics Course + 1 Science Course + 1 additional course (from any subject area) + self-study / drop-in college counseling center + 1 additional course (from any subject area).
