　　八一学校国际部在校期间学生如果遇到任何问题，可以*时间向导师寻求帮助。导师会针对每个学生进行*，并负责撰写大学推荐信。

　　高一年级基础英语课程
　　本课程为基础英语阅读和写作课程，课程从基础词汇，句子，语法开始，进而介绍学术文章的写作和组织方法。学生将从段落开始，练习学术文章的写作；并且学会如何*举例，对比和比较，处理信息来完成议论文的写作。初期阅读材料的难度基于学生的英语水平，之后也会包括对诗歌和电影的分析，在学期末，他们会学习短篇小说。*此课程的学习，学生的学术英语能力，语音语调，听力都会得到提高。
　　ESL/English 10
　　This is the foundational academic English reading and writing course. Instruction begins with the word -- vocabulary -- and sentence --grammar -- and moves into academic organization of paragraph and essay. Students practice academic response paragraphs, as well as rhetorical thesis-driven essays in specific and extended examples,  compare/contrast, and process modes. Reading begins at each student’s level and also includes critical reading of poetry, analysis of literary film, and, near the end of term, short stories. 　　这门课程为英语水平较高的学生准备的，学生将阅读大量的大学阶段阅读的材料，学会泛读和批判性思考。他们将对分析性写作更加熟悉，并把写作的敏锐性传递给读者。他们要提出犀利的观点并结合清楚的论据作为支撑。他们也会读很多*学术著作，并在术语上为AP课程做准备。
　　ESL/English 11 Accelerated
　　In this course designed for students strongest in English, they will engage in guided intensive readings of a diverse range of university-level texts, learning to read those texts thoroughly and critically. They will familiarize themselves with the conventions of analytical academic writing and learn to display sensitivity to audience needs. Writing tasks will require the formulation of rigorously arguable claims accompanied by clear supporting evidence. Students will also encounter canonical works and become versed in literary terminology in preparation for AP-level courses.

　　AP微积分BC
　　这门课程是按照美国大学理事会先修课程委员会设置的课程标准来的，旨在平行大学第二学期的微积分课程。*学期的重点是复习并巩固在AP微积分AB*到的概念。这门课程的特色主题是综合数学的技巧和应用，一阶微分方程、无穷级数、参变量函数、极坐标和函数等。这一学年，学生会做AP考试题和模拟测试题，为明年五月的AP考试做准备。
　　AP Calculus BC
　　This course follows the curriculum established by the College Board Advanced Placement Committee in mathematics and is designed to parallel a second semester university-level calculus course. A significant part of the first semester is used to review and enhance concepts covered in AP Calculus AB. Topics specific to the Calculus BC curriculum include a variety of integration techniques and applications, first order differential equations, infinite series, parametric functions, and polar coordinates and functions. Throughout the year, students will be practicing AP exam-type problem solving and practice tests in preparation for the AP Examination in May.

　　网申和邮寄材料后，还有什么需要注意的事情吗？
　　网申和邮寄材料后，申请的基本程序就完成了。但是同学们要注意经常查收申请大学时使用的邮箱，尽量能保持每天一次。很多大学会*邮件通知学生后续需要做的事情，比如申请材料不全需要补充，或者面试的要求，等等。请同学们按照大学的要求及时办理。因为，申请美国大学的时候，只有大学要求的所有材料齐全了，学生的材料才会被送到录取委员会手中进行审核和下决定。如果申请材料不全，材料寄出得再早也没有用。
